TVAA Makes Wishes Come True

Tehachapi Valley Arts Association and its supporters are at it again. For the second time this year they have collected art supply wish lists from local area teachers and set about making those wishes come true. In September over $2200 in supplies were donated and just this week another $2400 in supplies were delivered throughout Tehachapi. Tehachapi High School, Jacobsen Middle School, Cummings Valley Elementary School, Golden Hills Elementary, Tompkins Elementary and Hope Academy were all recipients of a long season of fund raising efforts.

The members involved with TVAA and Gallery 'N' Gifts work hard to raise funds for this project with candy sales, craft fairs, raffles, photo contests and silent auctions, but that's only part of what makes this program happen. "We couldn't do all of this without the additional support of our Chalk on the Walk event sponsors," commented TVAA Vice President Gale Caldwell.

Tehachapi Valley Arts Association would like to extend another thank you to the 2015 Chalk on the Walk Sponsors for their generous support: Michael Jones, DDS, Lindsey Ornamental Iron, Tehachapi Candle Co., Smirnoff Photography, Skylark North Glider School, Jennifer's Terrace, K-Mart, Carol Miller, The Loop news paper, Dahlia, a boutique, Linda Clough and "John the Plumber". Plans are currently in motion for the 2016 Chalk on the Walk. Want to get involved in a great cause?
