Flag retirement ceremony

The evening's ceremony was led off by local members of the California Department of Corrections Color Guard.

This flag from WW-2 was brought in for retirement. The honors were carried out by Vietnam Veterans Rick Marks and David Brown.

The properly folded flags were handed from Cub Scout to Boy Scouts, who then unfurled the flags, held them up one last time, and then gently placed them into the flames. A pause, a snappy salute, followed by an about face. he scouts repeated the processuntil all flags had been retired.
