Tehachapi's Online Community News & Entertainment Guide

Stop by the New Visitor Center

While you are exploring our community during Mountain Festival, be sure to stop by our new Visitor Center and say "Hello". The Tehachapi Visitor Center will be open during Mountain Festival Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10a.m. to 6 p.m. and our volunteer docents will be happy to answer any questions about Mountain Festival, the Tehachapi area in general or just chat.

The Tehachapi Visitor Center and Freedom Plaza (pictured right) were unveiled at the end of June after five years of planning. The centerpieces of the plaza are the five beautiful clear monuments representing each of the five branches of the military. There are benches for resting and an area for children to play. Picnic tables are on order and should be installed soon. Future plans include the installation of a permanent chess/checker set.

Whether you are new in town or have lived here all your life, we would love to have you drop by for a visit, check out the Plaza and Visitor Center and perhaps you would like to join the small army of volunteers who promote our town.

The Tehachapi Visitor Center is located at 200 W. Tehachapi Blvd. and is open Thursday through Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. See you there!
