TMRA Showcases Bobby Kerry

Rodeo Entertainer Bobby Kerr is at the center of the mustang movement. He competed in two Extreme Mustang Makeover challenges, sponsored by the Mustang Heritage Foundation as a way of bringing attention to the wild mustangs available for adoption through the BLM and was a two-time fan favorite who won his division in 2012.

The Makeover challenges pitted Kerr against dozens of other trainers who bought wild mustangs through BLM auctions. Each had 120 days to tame and train their horse "and show the people how great these horses are," Kerr said.

Since then, Kerr has capitalized on his success by taking his mustangs on the road. In 2013, he won the award for best dressed in the International Professional Rodeo Association's Contract Act Showcase. Now he performs at rodeos across the country with horses Jingle Bob, Trigger and Poncho. Bobby has been training horses for over 40 years. He has trained and shown reining, roping, working cow horse and cutting. He is the Founder of the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame and a very talented craftsman. In 2015 Bobby was nominated in the top 5 PRCA Specialty Act of the Year.

TMRA is honored to showcase the talents of Bobby Kerr and his amazing mustangs at the 53rd Tehachapi Mountain Rodeo Association PRCA Rodeo on August 19 and 20 in the Milano Arena at the Tehachapi Event Center and Rodeo Grounds at 601 So. Dennison Road.
