What's Up in Stallion Springs?

The Stallion Springs CSD welcomes a new Administrative Secretary, Judith Quijada, (she prefers to be called Judy), to the district office. Judy joined the staff on Sept. 19 and is off to a great start. She is a local area resident and previously worked with Kern County Probation. She indicated she would not miss the drive to Bakersfield every day. Come in and meet her.

Octoberfest, held on Oct. 1, was a rousing success with attendance up considerably over previous years with beer flowing generously and lines waiting for brats. Vendors reported great sales and kids had fun at activities that were planned just for them.

A Volkswagen show held on Stallion Springs Blvd. drew twice the cars of last year and added to the excitement. Both events are looking forward to even bigger turnouts next year.
