Treasure Trove featuring Robin Silva and Therese Vogan

First Friday in Downtown Tehachapi

Robin Silva has been working with glass for about three years. On a trip to the Midwest she discovered that an aunt worked with fused glass and an uncle worked with stain glass. She loved their pieces and decided to learn herself. At the time she had just become an empty nester and was looking for something to keep her busy and creative. She went to visit a stained glass supply store in the LA area and enjoyed talking to the folks so much that she enrolled in classes. The rest is history.

As an Air Force dependent, Robin has lived the Antelope Valley since she was 4 years old.

She grew up on Edwards Air Force Base and later lived in Rosamond. She currently lives in Lancaster with her husband of 30 years. They have two grown children. Robin is a registered nurse but is presently unable to do heavy lifting and has taken early retirement.

Therese Vogan works with mosaics and stained glass. She got started when she went with Robin to the stained glass supply store three years ago. It did not take her long to get hooked. She started taking classes and loves working with the media.

Also an Air Force dependent, Therese was raised on Edwards Air Force Base. She has lived in Rosamond for the last 30 years. Her husband was also in the Air Force and they have lived briefly in Japan and Korea. She has one adult son. Therese has worked retail and food service and has traveled with her husband driving trucks.
