Tehachapi's Online Community News & Entertainment Guide

Wining, dining, and good timing

Although The Shed officially closed on a snowy day, Dec. 24, our most loved and honorable chef, Mano Lujan will still be preparing a specially designed gourmet dinner at The Shed to go with the delicious wines from Burbank Ranch Vineyard and Winery at the scheduled Rotary Wine Pairing Dinner on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 6 p.m.

This is the 4th Annual Wine Pairing Dinner being hosted by The Rotary Club of Tehachapi and, as is expected, both the wines and the food are of the highest caliber and each course and wine are specifically designed to enhance the taste sensation of the other. It is an evening that has sold out each and every year and one that is so special that it's talked about and memorable from year to year.

This year one additional wine has been added because as our guests arrive they love to be social for the first half an hour or more. So, we'll feature what I will call a "gossip" wine so that we don't miss the combination of wine with appetizer once everyone is seated. Four wines will be tasted with each course including appetizer, soup, entrée and dessert.

The Wine Pairing Dinner is a very special evening for those who really love wine and food. Rotarians dress up The Shed with tablecloths and centerpieces befitting the event which creates a warm and inviting atmosphere to enjoy this incredible experience. A magical feeling of community and sharing develops as our guests mix and mingle and try different wines and foods.

We invite you to join us on Jan. 28. Tickets are $150 for two or $80 each. Call Linda at (818) 519-7144 or Judy Trujillo at (661) 821-0086. Again, this is a sell out event, so get your tickets asap.
