Dance Craze teams return victorious

With their well-deserved awards in hand, The Dance Craze (TDC) Competition Teams, once again, return to Tehachapi proud, after a successful weekend at competition. "Each one of our dancers were so inspired after the last competition, they were ready to dominate the stage at Rainbow," says Instructor Carrie Soldati, and it looks like they did!

Rainbow Dance Competition was held in Southern California, and the competing dancers were strong, but that did not stop TDC's Elite Team from winning Double Platinum, and First Overall in their lyrical category. First Overall is an impressive award in itself, but the Elite Team was not the only one in their category; they shined above more than ten different studios, and their performance was rewarded. The Elite Team received Platinum for their jazz number, and soloist Kayla Winchell also received Platinum. Kaylee Rivers won Dancer of the Year, and received Platinum for both her Hip Hop and Jazz numbers.

Young soloists Brooklyn Rivers, Audrey Yedinak, and Sophia Ruth received High Gold for their performances, and the Debut Team took home High Gold for their jazz dance, Amazing Mayzie, which also won, Best Costume. Audrey Yedinak also won the, Brave & Beautiful Award. She continues to inspire The Dance Craze every day. The Hip Hop Team received a Platinum Award, as did the Junior Team for their lyrical piece. The Junior Hip Hop & Jazz Team took home High Gold along with a special Judges Award "Fame in your Future" and twins, Jenna and Bridget Buge, both received High Gold on their solos and Platinum on their duet and Fifth Overall.

TDC Director and Owner Joscelyn Rivers, along with the staff, are overwhelmed with joy and could not be prouder. "Every day we not only help strengthen our students, but try and instill the love of dance, so, to see them succeed and accomplish their goals at competition is so inspiring; it's truly an honor to be a part of. I'm so proud!"
