Tehachapi Community Theatre's audition workshop for The Drowsy Chaperone

TCT Spotlight

The Tony Award-winning musical, The Drowsy Chaperone promises to be one of the biggest and most fun comedic musicals Tehachapi Community Theatre has presented in quite some time. The director, Christine Guarente, and the production staff will be holding an audition workshop for anyone interested in this wonderful project. The workshop will be held on Sunday, April 23, at 2 p.m. until about 4 p.m. at the BeeKay Theatre in downtown Tehachapi located at 108 South Green Street.

This workshop is open to the public and wishing to learn about how to audition. There will be no charge.

The workshop will include instruction and guidance for preparation and presentation of singing, reading and dancing at the auditions. Whether experienced or not, it would be to your advantage (but not necessary) to attend the workshop if only to find out what is expected for the audition. We hope this experience will add to your confidence at auditions! The goal is to give everybody an opportunity to succeed!

The musical debuts in August at the BeeKay Theatre. We are encouraging all those that would like to participate to attend this workshop. Auditions (open to ages 15+) will be held on May 5 at 6:30 p.m., May 6 at 2 p.m., and May 7 at 2 p.m. at TCT’s Second Space 431 West J. Street Tehachapi.

Information can be found at http://www.tctonstage.com and find the workshops tab.

Audition sides, lines from the script selected for reading, and other audition information will also be up at the same website under auditions, very soon.

We look forward with enthusiasm to seeing you at the BeeKay!
