Noah's Ark winner

Tehachapi Mountain Carvers wants to thank the community for buying tickets for their carved Noah's Ark raffle. They sold 2,000 tickets, raising $3,000 for the Tehachapi SENIOR CENTER. The new owner/winner of the ark is Jeff Diamond, a Tehachapi resident. Jeff is part of Gateway Connections and belongs to the Mountain Pathways program. Jeff recently celebrated his birthday and the Tehachapi Mountain Carvers helped him celebrate by giving him the Noah's Ark.

He was estactic.

The Carvers want to also thank the Senior Center, which has graciously loaned their facility to the carvers as a meeting and teaching place for many years. Call (661) 847-8364, for information about the club. Wood carving is taught every Tuesday at the Tehachapi SENIOR CENTER by member and master carver Durwood Thrasher from 10 a.m. until noon.
