Sneezing, weeding, and flowers – it's Spring!

It seems every spring I rejoice in the warmer weather, the greening of the hills, the explosion of colorful wildflowers. But I must acknowledge the flip side--the changeable weather, the thriving weeds, the allergies and the cleanup that must be managed. We at Pioneer True Value Home Center are here to help you make it "all better."

Walk around your yard and determine what needs to be done. We have to clear our land by June 1 to comply with the Kern County guidelines so that is the priority. Check out what damage the long cold winter has caused to your yard and house. Make your list and get started. We can help you find ways to make your jobs easier and faster. Once that has been done we can now concentrate on the fun stuff-planting flowers, vegetables, shrubs, and trees.

Pioneer True Value Home Center has all the plants, shrubs, and trees that thrive in our area. We have all the soil amendments and tools you need to successfully plant them. We have hats and gloves to make the job more comfortable. We even have hats, gloves, and tools for young kids so they can help you with the chores.

Come see us and tell us what you need. We are here to help. And, if you are looking for rototillers, lawn mowers, or other items check out truevalue.com. Save shipping and handling charges on anything shipped to our store. Your purchase will be kept safely at our location where you can pick it up during our store hours Monday through Saturday 8 to 5 p.m. or Sunday 9 to 3 p.m.

On a personal note I would like to thank everyone for your help during this difficult time. Donald Zanghi, my husband of 43 years, died the end of March after a long battle with gastric cancer. He established Pioneer's mission to help our customers, who really are our friends, with their home repair and home improvement projects. He always said we are problem solvers and he loved it when customers would report back that our suggestions had helped them have a successful outcome. Don enjoyed all aspects of the hardware business and he was grateful to have such good friends who he loved to visit with at the store.
