Jeanne Riesen shows off her Best in Show photo of the Staircase at J Sterling Morton (Morton Salt) There motto was "When it rains it pours," in Nebraska City, Nebraska. Founder of the Morton Salt Co. he produced salt for the table, water softener, and industrial use.
With over 55 photographers participating and submitting nearly 200 photos in the "Take Your Best Shot" Photo Contest, the judges had their hands full trying to sort out which ones would take home the ribbons and Best of Show coveted cash prize. The bi-annual Photo Contest Awards reception was held on Aug 4 at Gallery 'N' Gifts. It was a festive occasion with photographers sharing advice on how to get the best shot and fans ogling bright colors, crisp focal points and the creative eye of the artist. If you're interested in entering, our next contest will be in February with submission dates the last week of January 2018.
Gallery 'N' Gifts 100 W. Tehachapi Blvd. Store hours are from 10-5 p.m. daily.
