11th Annual Valentine's Wine and Chocolate Tasting

One of two starting locations this year was the Tehachapi Railroad Depot and Museum, where glasses and tasting maps were handed out. In addition an award winning locally produced 2014 California Riesling was poured for sampling. Pouring is Tehachapi City Council Member Phil Smith.

A pour of Sparkling Vanilla is enjoyed at wine stop #21 Bliss Interiors. Local businesses find these events useful as it introduces people to their stores.

Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce was one of the wine stops this year. Light snacks and wine from Wilson Creek Vineyards were offered.

Local residents and downtown business owners, Jeannie and Scott Taylor, set out for an evening of wine tasting.

Just back from a trip to Mardi Gras, local travel agent Jenni Richard, in the Mardi Gras mask and beads, pauses for a photo with Michelle and Mike Dorner, local wine producers and owners of Dorner Family Vineyard.

Confectioner, business owner, and Main Street Tehachapi volunteer again this year hand made over a 1000 pieces of chocolate for the Valentine's Wine and Chocolate Tasting event last Saturday.

Main Street Tehachapi volunteers Greg and Krizzi Garrett, collect tasting tickets and will be pouring samples for tasters Christine Scrivner, and Nikki Cummings. Upwards of 1000 samplers will be in attendance this year.

From this wine stop and on the way to yet another, these good friends enjoy tasty chocolates and fine wine samples at the Valentine's Wine and Chocolate walk held last Saturday.

All though closed, new owners Virginia and _name?????_ Sheridan were kind enough to turn on the Kelsey Restaurant sign giving Tehachapi Boulevard a festive look to the Valentine"s wine walk evening.
