Tehachapi's Online Community News & Entertainment Guide
This marks the 8th year for National Night Out, Tehachapi style. The event will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at Central Park and all are welcome. The Tehachapi Police Department and Tehachapi Police Foundation will be hosting. Beginning at 5 p.m. booths will be available for you to visit, exhibits will be available for you to explore with games and goodies for all. This is a great time to meet our local first responders and get tours of the fire truck, ambulance and patrol cars. Safety and education is of first and foremost importance.
Again this year, Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Parks will be partnering with us to provide the "Glow Walk" at 8 p.m., followed by their movie in the park. This is a wonderful family evening and it's free! Grab your lawn chair, blanket, some dinner or snacks and join the fun.
Space is still available for booths. If you own or run an organization, non-profit or business and want to provide information on a safety issue for individuals, kids or the home, share your resources, games or activities for kids at your booth. Call Kim Nixon at 619-5123 for more information.
