James Lee Stanley at the Oak Tree Country Club, Aug. 12

BVS Cultural Arts Association

Bear Valley Springs' Cultural Arts Association (BVSCAA) will bring James Lee Stanley to the Oak Tree Country Club (OTCC) on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018. At 3 p.m. we'll have a brief time to meet and greet new friends. Appetizers and beverages will be available. The concert will begin at 3:30 p.m. and last until 5 p.m. During that time, James will entertain his 'new community of Bear Valley Springs' by bringing stories, songs, and his own special brand of humor to the stage.

James Lee was born in Philadelphia, got his first guitar at 14 years old, learned quickly and was performing in concerts at 17. James was able to sign up for the United States Air Force where he was a Chinese linguist.

Over the years, he has established a CV that consists of more than 32 albums covering many genres: pop, rock, acoustic rock, folk, seasonal, Christmas, jazz, and the blues. James has had many years to meet and establish connections with a large number of the elite stars in these areas. For instance, it would be difficult to find anyone not familiar with Bonnie Raitt or Robin Williams.

Who among us is not a fan of the Star Trek Series Deep Space Nine? For five and one-half years, James had the opportunity to be a variety of characters. These include the Singing Klingon, as well as a tall Bejoran, and other interesting outer space beings.

With tales such as these, who could stay home on Aug. 12? Call Jeanette at (661) 972-2344 for information, gate passes for outside the valley guests, and reservations for seats, so you can be sure of a seat, as space is limited at the Oak Tree Country Club. Tickets for this concert: members are $15/non-members are $20.

Join us in welcoming James Lee Stanley to Bear Valley Springs and the greater Tehachapi Area. Join the BVSCAA to help us bring more concerts, art exhibits, craft fairs, the dramatic arts, bus trips to art museums and best of all scholarships for junior/senior students who plan to follow their dreams.
