The Tehachapi Masonic Lodge set up their child ID equipment and offered a free current photo of the school age child as well as a fingerprint. All information collected was given to the parent for safe keeping.
Every year the Tehachapi Salvation Army hosts a Back 2 School event. New school supply filled backpacks, clothing for school and even haircuts are all part of the event. Parents need only three things to be eligible for the event. First, was their child with them. Second, identification and third, proof of area residency.
