Tehachapi Mountain Rodeo Association has just announced it's lineup for their 2019 season. For well over 50 years, the Association, and it's all volunteer members, have kept the sport of rodeo alive and going strong in Tehachapi.
The associations Junior Rodeo, for youngsters up through high school, has fostered many a fine rodeo athlete while teaching young people the values associated with horsemanship, animal safety, fair play and the all important "western way of life."
This year's Junior Rodeo season is:
June 22 – 23.
July 13 – 14.
Aug. 3.
Sept. 7 are finals in the morning and awards in the afternoon.
Rough stock events, such as the yearly Bad Bulls Rodeo, will be on the 4th of July.
Followed by The PRCA two-day rodeo event during Mountain Festival weekend, Aug. 16 and 17.
These events are always quickly sold out... so get your tickets early.
The events are held at the Tehachapi Rodeo Grounds, located at the Tehachapi Event Center near the airport.
