Tehachapi Treasure Trove
The Tehachapi Treasure Trove is open Monday - Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Stop by and see our collection of uncommonly eclectic and unusually unique stuff. Remember we carry an extensive line of art, craft and scrapbooking supplies, as well as artist services in addition to local arts, handcrafts, jewelry, collectibles, music, yarn, gift items and more.

First Friday Fun Fest at Tehachapi Treasure Trove on April 5 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Come meet our artists and listen to music by Art Larson on clarinet. Taste a bite of food along with a nip of cider or wine. Enjoy the company of friends.
Open Studios
Open Studios at the Treasure Trove do not require reservations – you can come and be inspired to do your best work (or play) in our comfortable and creative environment and share ideas with other artists and crafters. No teachers will be available during open studios. Come any time when the store is open and classes are not using the entire room. Three-hour Open Studio sessions are available for $5. Come on over and get busy being creative!

Weekly classes
Reservations for all classes with a deposit must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled class. Students may bring their own supplies for classes or purchase supplies at the Treasure Trove. Please call (661) 822-6794 for additional information and reservations or visit us online.
Monday afternoons from 3:30 to 5 p.m. – Kid's Art (ages 6-12) with Judith Campanaro for $40 a month plus supplies (no make-ups) or $15 per session. Children will learn various art techniques for drawing and painting. $5 additional without supplies.
Tuesday afternoons from 2 to 4 p.m. – Travel Journaling with Judith Campanaro. Four sessions every Tuesday in March for $80 for all four weeks with no make ups. Create fun journals of your travels. In this class students will be exploring pen and ink techniques, watercolor washes and exercises in how to see and draw what is around us. The intent is to foster the ability to capture the essence of your travels. Each week will build on the previous session. A supply list will be provided when you sign up.
Wednesday mornings from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Adventures in Painting with Juanita Niemeyer. A workshop for artists. Bring your own project or work on a project supplied by the teacher. Juanita is an experienced art teacher and can help with techniques for whatever you want to paint. Paint on canvas, wood, glass, paper or ceramic bisque. $20 per session (not including materials). A variety of materials are available for sale at the Treasure Trove. Come any Wednesday and experience your creativity. Please bring lunch. Break will be half an hour.
Sunday afternoons from noon to 3 p.m. – Playing with Paint with teacher Lucinda Thomas for $15. Fun with liquid acrylic paint pour, abstracts and multimedia. Bring your own paints and boards or purchase them at the Treasure Trove.
Scheduled classes
March 9 from 1 to 4 p.m. – Fused Glass with Leila Kleiman for $45 all materials and firing Included. This is an excellent class as an introduction to fused glass. Students will learn to plan their design and learn to cut the glass pieces to use in the design. The pieces will then be fired and be available for pick up in a few days.
March 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. – Eat, Drink and Paint Merrily for $25. All canvases, brushes and paint supplies will be included along with wine and hors d'oeuvres. Come have fun and paint with other painters. Beginners welcome... we'll teach you to paint- Second Saturday every month.
March 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Art Journaling with Judith Campanaro for $15. This two-hour session will meet every other week on Mondays. There are no special skills required. Art journaling is for everyone. Students will do a different spread in each session. The intent is to learn techniques to fill your journal with a combination of art, imagery and words. Students must supply their own Journal or purchase one at the Treasure Trove.
March 16 from 1 to 4 p.m. – Jewelry Making with Dawn Callahan for $25 plus materials. Learn beading and jewelry making basics: Create your own necklace and earrings. Monthly classes available. Monthly on the third Saturday.
March 16 from 1 to 4 p.m. – Fiber Arts with Karen Stevens for $15 per session. Need help getting started or completing a project? Bring your project or idea to class and let Karen help you get going. Come once or every session. Beginners – Karen will teach you the basics. Projects may include knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, needle-point, tatting and embroidery. Class repeats on first and third Saturdays.
March 23 from noon to 4 p.m. – Pysankey (Ukrainian Egg Painting) with Judith Campanaro for $30, supplies included. Create a beautifully detailed painted egg. Students will learn the Ukrainian method of decorating Easter eggs using beeswax and dyes. Pysanky is a traditional craft from the Ukraine which dates back thousands of years. A pattern is drawn on an egg with wax and then the egg is dipped in dye. The process repeats with successive layers of wax and dye. Once the wax is removed a multicolored design is revealed.
