Community Action Partnership of Kern’s (CAPK) Food Bank will host a Free Farmers Market on Saturday, Aug. 17 from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Kern County Fairgrounds, Gate #30 Belle Terrace & P Street, Bakersfield.
We’ll be sharing more than 20,000 pounds of leafy greens, carrots, cabbage, watermelon, plums and other fresh produce with those who struggle to put healthy food on their tables every day. These Farmers Markets help fight food insecurity and improve access to healthy diet options for individuals and families across Bakersfield and Kern County.
No ID is required. There is no cost for the event.
Additional Farmers Markets will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. at Grace Community Church in Wasco on Sept. 14 and from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sept. 19 at Delano Regional Medical Center.
