Be a hero by supporting pancreatic cancer research

Saturday, October 19.

You can help make a difference by supporting Christina's 5th Annual Pancreatic Cancer Fundraiser to Wage Hope for a Cure.

This year Major Jason E. George VFW 12114 would like to thank our community for its generous support over the last four years by inviting you to a complimentary spaghetti dinner on Saturday, October 19. Adults only, please. There will also be a silent auction, door prizes and 50/50 tickets. The fundraiser will be held at Kern County veterans Memorial Building located at 125 E. F St., Tehachapi. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:15 p.m., which will allow guests time to browse the large selection of silent auction items. Since there is limited seating, we are taking reservations for dinner. Please call Alex or Pat at (661) 822-6722 to make your reservations.

Over the last four years, Christina's fundraisers have raised and donated to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCan) $40,049. PanCan is one of the most highly rated cancer charities in the country. Last year they awarded over $13,000,000 for research. They also help families who have a loved one diagnosed with pancreatic cancer both financially and by referring them to a number of resources for help.

Major Jason E. George VFW 12114 will donate 100 percent of all money raised from our 5th fundraiser to PanCan.

Once again, as there are a limited number of tickets and seating, please make your reservation by Oct. 11 by calling (661) 822-6722. Leave your name, phone number and the number of guests who will be attending. Your tickets will be at the door that evening.

Donations will be accepted and very much appreciated.

Thank you, Tehachapi!
