Halloween events in Tehachapi

Halloween in Tehachapi is a wonderful time of year for all the ghost and goblins leading up to and on the day of Halloween.

BooKay, Oct. 26

The Tehachapi Pops Orchestra (TPOPS) will offer musical tricks and treats in two hour-long performances at 4 and 7 p.m. on Oct. 26. The BooKay is a fundraiser for both TPOPS and TCT. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and are available from Mountain Music, Fiddlers Crossing, Tehachapi Treasure Trove, Tehachapi Furniture, members of the orchestra or online at http://www.TCTonstage.com. Doors open 30 minutes before each performance.

The BeeKay Theatre is at 110 S. Green St. in Downtown Tehachapi.

Bear Valley Springs, Oct. 26

A carnival and Trunk or Treat from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Whiting Center, 26940 Bear Valley Rd. Attendees must have a gate pass, sponsor or be a BVS resident.

Ghoulden Hills Trick or Treat, Oct. 26

The event will include games, contests and prizes from 4 to 7 p.m. at Golden Hills Community Service District, 21415 Reeves St. Costumes encouraged. Call for information, (661) 822-3064.

Fright Night, Oct. 26 at the Library

Held from 6 to 8 p.m. at 212 S. Green St. The event will include a costume contest, candy bar and haunted maze downstairs throughout the basement book stacks. Tehachapi Mountain Paranormal Investigators will come and perform a ghost hunt on the building. Teens only.

Storytime, Oct. 26 at the Library

Starting at 10 a.m. a Halloween-themed storytime will begin.

Halloween Paw-ty, Oct. 26

Starting at 11 a.m. and going till 3 p.m. at Canine Creek Pet Wash and Boutique, 798 Tucker Rd. Dogs in costume will get a bag of treats. There will be prizes for first, second and third place. Free pet and human treats will be available.

Mountain Bible Church, Pumpkin Patch

Mountain Bible Church, 630 Maple St., is hosting their third annual Pumpkin Patch. Open Sundays from 1 to 7 p.m., and Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. now through Oct. 31. Enjoy free hay rides, bounce house, games, popcorn and more.

Church of the Nazarene, Oct. 31

Tehachapi Church of Nazarene is having their Fall Festival from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 19016 Highline Rd. There will be Trunk & Treat, candy, bounce houses and hay rides.

Halloween Hoopla, Oct. 31

Woodward West and the CSD in Stallion Springs are sponsoring activities for Halloween this year from 6 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 31. Trunk or Treat begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Woodward West parking lot, 28400 Stallion Springs Dr. Other activities will include a haunted house, SSPOA cake walk, bobbing for apples, caramel apple bar, costume contest and more. First Baptist Church, Oct. 31

Happy Harvest Night from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at 1049 S. Curry St. This free event will include hot dogs, chili, hot chocolate, popcorn and candy. Fun game booths like pumpkin golf, fishing booth, ring toss and pumpkin sack races where everyone is a winner. All children will be given candy. For more information call (661) 822-3138.

Bear Valley Springs, Oct. 31

Halloween Host Homes from 6 to 8 p.m. Bear Valley residents who would like trick or treaters to visit their homes can participate by calling the Whiting Center at (661) 821-6641. Attendees must have a gate pass, sponsor or be a BVS resident.

Downtown Trunk or Treat, Oct. 31

A free family friendly event held in Downtown Tehachapi on Green and Robinson streets and inside Centennial Plaza from 5 to 7 p.m.
