Board of Trustees honors students

The TUSD Board of Trustees honored several students at their Nov. 12 meeting. Jacobsen Middle School students Kennedy Perkins and Rylie Jelleschitz were recognized for raising $250 to purchase books from the book fair to be donated to the Salvation Army for their holiday Giving Tree this year.

The TUSD Board of Trustees also recognized the Tehachapi High School Girls Golf Team as the Fall League Champions. The team is made up of senior Jennifer Buchanan, junior Cailee Carlson, team captain junior Kira Pankow, senior Diletta Rocca (invited to compete in the CIF Central Section Championships) and sophomore Kennadee Stilson. With the team is Head Coach Dennis Costa and Assistant Coach Arnulfo Gonzalez.

On Nov. 12, the TUSD Board of Trustees recognized Varsity Tennis area semi-finalist Katrina Hibbard, congratulating both Hibbard and Head Coach Serena West.
