Around 2 a.m. on the morning of Dec. 26, with snowfall getting heavier, the CHP shut down Highway 58. Above: These Greyhound bus passengers became stranded while the storm continued. A cordial welcome, a warm lobby, coffee and restrooms were offered to the nearly 42 passengers by the Tehachapi Baymont Inn, located across the street from the Flying J Travel Center.
