Snow in Tehachapi

The snowfall offered many beautiful photo-ops throughout the area. This snow-covered wagon was spotted in Bear Valley Springs.

The weight of heavy snow led to many bent and downed trees.

Stranded motorists were able to find time for an impromptu snowball fight in the usually busy intersection in front of the Flying J Travel Center.

Parked cars were buried in almost two feet of snow as the wet snowfall continued from very early the morning of Dec. 26 well into the late afternoon.

As Highway 58 was reopened to traffic, eastbound traffic out of Bakersfield going toward the Antelope Valley was at a near standstill throughout the afternoon of Dec. 26 and well into most of the next day.
