History comes alive next weekend with the Stories on the Sidewalk downtown Bakersfield event. The fun, educational walk through history is staged by the Arts Council of Kern. The audience will be treated to an eyes‑and‑ears experience of locally written and acted dramatic presentations of Kern County’s colorful characters.
“Last year’s Stories on the Sidewalk sold out,” says ACK Executive Director David Gordon. “This year is even bigger. Audience groups will walk the three‑block circuit through downtown’s historic locations to experience Kern’s most famous and infamous residents.”
The Stories on the Sidewalk audience groups will set out on Feb. 8 and 9 at 11 a.m. from 1330 Truxtun Ave., Bakersfield. Tickets are only $10 and can be reserved at http://www.kernarts.org, or by calling (661) 324‑9000.
Come join the Arts Council of Kern and regional business sponsors for a journey through history right on the streets of Bakersfield.
