Tehachapi's Online Community News & Entertainment Guide
Friends of the Tehachapi Library
I know, we all miss gathering and seeing each other face to face. Having to stay home can be a hardship, but we at the library want all our favorite patrons to stay healthy and happy during these trying times.
We may not be able to go to the library, but we want everyone in the community to know that we are still here. Our digital library is always open 24 hours a day. You can borrow eBooks, audio books, comics and even movies from our online apps. You can download the app onto a device or access them from a computer: Libby, Hoopla, Cloud Library and RB Digital all have an amazing selection of items for all ages and interests.
Don’t have a library card but still want in on this? Go to http://www.kerncountylibrary.org and from the Contact Us page you can request an eLibrary Card, request a number for an existing card that you have misplaced, or renew an old card that has expired.
If you are drowning in information about COVID-19 and just do not know where to turn for reliable facts, please visit our website and check out our Health Information and Resources page for an up to date list of reliable sources. We will, as always, strive to make sure that you have the most accurate, reliable information available when you need it most.
If you are trying to keep yourself or the younglings in your life busy, make sure to follow us on our KCL-Tehachapi Facebook page for all our online programming. We are currently offering live storytime twice a week, along with a lot of other great online events like Teen Quarantine Virtual Hangout, Yoga and Meditation and even fun videos from the folks at Marley’s Mutts! Remember, just because we are all at home, we are never alone. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. We are always here.
