Biden/Harris Rally draws large crowd

A large group of voters gathered at the intersection of Tucker Road and Valley Blvd. in Tehachapi on Sept. 20, from Noon to 2 p.m., to express their support for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, as well as for Kim Mangone, candidate for Congressional District 23. The rally was organized through a few social media sites and by word of mouth. There was lots of enthusiasm among the mask-wearing crowd as they waved flags and hoisted signs for the candidates.

The majority of passing cars honked, and drivers gave thumbs-up signs. Of course, some drivers showed an opposite reaction, but this did not dampen the enthusiasm of the crowd. When asked, many participants said this was the most important election in the history of our country. They were demonstrating for responsible leadership and to save our democracy.

The next rally is planned for Sunday, Oct. 18, from noon to 2 p.m.
