Board recognizes LIBRA

The TUSD School Board recognized LIBRA Library Associates, a local 501(c)3 nonprofit, at their January 12 meeting.

Since 1990 LIBRA has raised $110,000 for school libraries. On October 29 the group presented the district with $5,558 raised from a used book sale held at Warrior Park and a fashion show/dessert event. Representing LIBRA at the presentation were Janice Tietz, Debbie Franchere, Alice Muro and Ramona Turmazei.

The TUSD Board meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. Currently all meetings are being held on Zoom with the link located on the agenda, which is posted at http://www.agendaonline.net/public/tehachapi.
