Let Them Play California Rally held at Coy Burnett Stadium

Local parents and retired sports coach and teacher Joan Pogon-Cord at the January 15 "Let Them Play CA" rally. The rally was held in hopes that even with the COVID-19 Pandemic, school team sports can start back up again. (L-R) Joan Pogon-Cord, Ashley Lantz, Emily Van Andel, Katrina Sills. Van Andel stated, "Students need athletics. They learn responsibility and accountability through participation in school team sports."

On January 15 a group calling themselves "Let Them Play CA" organized rallies throughout California in the hopes that school team sports can start back up. The one in Tehachapi drew a crowd of about 30 people outside Coy Burnett Stadium on Tehachapi Blvd.
