When should I see a chiropractor?

Back Talk

Hi. I'm Dr. Brown, and I want to be your chiropractor. Most people come to the chiropractor when they are in pain, usually back pain, neck pain, headache or a similar symptom. That is like waiting to go to the dentist until you have a toothache. By then it is too late; you missed the chance to prevent decay and the resulting pain. After 25 years in practice I am still giving the same message. Don't wait till it hurts.

Chiropractic treatment is called an adjustment. It is not called an overhaul or a rebuild. I do not take out old broken-down parts and replace them with new parts; surgeons do that. I provide adjustments that improve function on many levels so your body responds to messages from your brain in the best possible way. The goal is prevention through restoration of normal function.

Maintenance is what you do BEFORE it breaks, repair is what you do after. If the wheels fell off it's not maintenance, it's repair. If you crash in a ditch, it's repair. You may need medical care, physical therapy, medication, nutritional supplements, rest or something else. Still, before you get back in the race get the programing checked, reset the circuit breakers, and test yourself so you can return to activity with the confidence that you are ready for the next bump, skid or tight corner. That is what I do.

Maintenance beats repair every time. Come in and get a checkup, if you need an adjustment, I will adjust you. If you don't, I won't. I'll answer your questions directly and not waste your time. Then if you ever get hurt at least I will have you in my files and I will know what your normal looks like, and if you break I am here for you. Maintenance . . . it's what you do before it breaks.

I am Dr. Brown, and I'd like to be YOUR chiropractor.
