Local office wins national award for the 23rd time

Marty Pay Farmers Insurance has won the prestigious Toppers Club Award for the 23rd year. The Award is based on a combination of sales and service and is achieved on an annual basis.

When asked about the Award, Marty gave credit to his staff and policyholders.

"I've been blessed with an incredible staff that believes in customer service being No. 1. The staff has over 66 years in insurance and it shows up in how we respond to customers. You're really dealing with an intangible and the proof in the pudding is when your customers call in for assistance," he said.

Marty also attributed the success to his clients. "I've been fortunate to have a great book of policyholders and they know we're here for them. Many of our clients we have had for well over 30 years and we have many second-generation clients as well. Having that kind of relationship makes the job more fun and easier to accomplish."

It's been tough for most businesses in the age of COVID and the insurance industry is no exception.

"We've managed to stay in the office the entire time even though for a short period we did keep the doors closed as we were mandated to do," he said.

Marty attributes this to part of their success last year as well.

"My Office Manager Ginger, and Amber (agent) were troopers through all this, and Dottie (agent) did an incredible job as well. Everyone put in the extra effort needed to help our clients through this difficult time. In the service industry you have to be here for your customers and that was our main focus through a turbulent 2020."

Marty's office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 212 W. F St. He and his incredible staff can be reached at (661) 822-3737.
