Tacos El Superior adds breakfast items/hours
Tacos El Superior has been open less than a year in Tehachapi, but recently expanded their hours of operation and added six new menu items to accommodate the breakfast-burrito-craving crowd. They now open at 6:30 a.m. and serve breakfast until 10:30 a.m. They are open until 9 p.m. for their normal menu Monday-Thursday and 10 p.m. on Friday-Sunday.
Hampton Inn seeks Planning Commission approval
A new ownership group is seeking the approval of the City of Tehachapi Planning Commission to build an 85-room Hampton Inn on the corner of Challenger Dr. and Discovery Way in Capital Hills. If approved this would become the third hotel to be built in Capital Hills joining the established Holiday Inn Express and the Towneplace Suites by Marriott, currently under construction. The Planning Commission will vote on the proposal at their meeting on April 12.
Village Co. resumes work on downtown revitalization project
After delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, shortly after demolition began in 2020, Village Collective, the multi-use space in Downtown Tehachapi, received building permits on March 30. Tehachapi-based Aspen Builders Inc. will construct a new facade and create build-to-suit options for potential tenants inside the former second hand store at the corner of Green and F Streets.
