Tehachapi Pride, by Starbucks

Starbucks Coffee Company in Tehachapi, is hosting its first Pride Parade and Advocacy event on June 26 in the parking lot of Starbucks on Tucker Road.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. with a parade heading South on Tucker Road to Valley Blvd., then back North on Tucker Road, ending in the Starbucks parking lot.

From 10 a.m. to noon, local allies will be available with resources and activities. The family-friendly event is open to the pubic with no cost to participate.

Pride month dates back to the start of the modern LGBTQ+ liberation movement in the 1970s, when hundreds of independent Pride events sprung up in cities worldwide, each tied in some way to the foundational Stonewall Riots in June.
