Tehachapi's Online Community News & Entertainment Guide
On the evening of Aug. 3 the Tehachapi Police Department and the Tehachapi Police Foundation partnered to host National Night Out at Philip Marx Central Park. The annual crime prevention campaign is designed to heighten crime and drug awareness, generate support for local law enforcement and strengthen neighborhood spirit and partnerships. Community organizations set up booths throughout the park to pass out information and fun stuff for the kids. Police vehicles and fire trucks were on hand for kids to inspect, and some even got to try on bulletproof vests. Hot dogs were provided by the VFW Post 12114 and the evening ended with a showing of "Raya and the Last Dragon" provided by TVRPD.
