Gallery 'N' Gifts September guest artist, Kelly Pankey

Born and raised in Bakersfield, California, I moved to the Lake Isabella area after a five year enlistment in the US Navy. I attended Cerro Coso Community College and CSUB, and earned a bachelor's degree in English.

I work almost entirely on Ampersand Scratchboard and Clayboard for finished work.

I draw, sculpt and paint, as well. My style is loose but detailed, and I work mostly from my imagination or from photographs I have taken. 

I have shown my work in galleries from here to Terre Haute, Indiana. I have won many best of shows and awards. I am looking forward to showing at Gallery 'N' Gifts for the month of September and to meeting everyone soon.

Gallery 'N' Gifts is located at 100 W. Tehachapi Blvd. and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Kelly will be at the Gallery on First Friday, September 3, from 5 to 7 p.m., and her art will be featured throughout the month.
