Tehachapi's Online Community News & Entertainment Guide
Healthy Hippie Trading Co.
There's a new business in town and it's already generating a ton of excitement. Healthy Hippie Trading Co., owned by Sarah Rose and John Nelson, carries clothing, crystals, candles and more. "We're an eclectic mix of everything that's hip, groovy and a little bit different," Sarah explained. Located in the old All Access Computer building at 20418 Brian Way, Old Town Tehachapi, the store will also feature a coffee and tea bar and serve vegan treats as soon as they can get through the permit process.
Supporting the community has always been important to John and Sarah so when the opportunity came to co-sponsor Tehachapi's Haunted House and Maze event created by locals, Stephanie and Paul Saladino, they jumped at the chance.
"Stephanie and Paul were going to foot the bill for this endeavor. I encouraged them to seek sponsors so that it could be free to the public. Next thing I knew, Healthy Hippie Trading Co. and OQP Homes were sponsoring this awesome event!" Sarah laughs.
The Haunted House event will take place Friday, Oct. 29 through Sunday, Oct. 31 from 7 to 9 p.m. each night at the new gym, Tehachapi Strength, at 20681 Valley Blvd. (behind Frosty King). Volunteers are needed. If you're interested, contact Stephanie at [email protected]. The event is free to the community, however they will be accepting donations that will go to Cornerstone Center for Counseling and Discipleship.
