In West Golden Hills The Loop newspaper staff chose the home at 21617 Quail Springs Road. Tanya of The Loop says, "We chose this home because we love the holiday quail crossing and the reindeer, not least because they look handmade and hand painted. If you look closely at each quail, you can see a name (possibly each artist's signature or the name of various family members) making this more personal and artistic."
In Stallion Springs The Loop newspaper staff chose the home at 18160 Santa Anita Street.
In East Golden Hills The Loop newspaper staff chose the home at 22801 Yeager Court. Pat Doody of The Loop says, "We passed by this home several times and each time we saw something new!"
District 1: Mayor Phillip Smith chose the home at 219 North Green Street.
District 2: Councilmember Christina Scrivner chose the home at 905 Valerie Lane.
District 3: Councilmember Michael Davies chose the home at 701 Oakwood Street.
District 4: Councilmember Joan Pogon-Cord chose the home at 814 Kelton Street.
District 5: Councilmember Susan Wiggins chose the home at 601 West Orchard Parkway.
In Bear Valley Springs The Loop newspaper staff chose the home at 27500 Cumberland Road.
The City of Tehachapi and The Loop newspaper have collaborated again to sponsor the 2nd Annual Tehachapi Holiday Decorating Contest for both homes in Tehachapi communities including Stallion Springs, Bear Valley Springs and Golden Hills, as well as businesses within the city limits.
After much consideration by the judges, here are the winners of the 2nd Annual Tehachapi Holiday Decorating Contest. Since all of the lights were so fantastic, the judges really struggled to pick the winners. Some of them went out to look at the lights two or three times before making their decision. The contestants were very competitive and the judges all said that it was obvious a lot of thought went into designing the displays. Many included homemade elements while others went for the "wow" factor making the decisions even harder. Congratulations to all the winners!
