Tehachapi's Online Community News & Entertainment Guide
Hello friends and neighbors. Welcome to 2022! It isn’t as pandemic-free as we would have liked by this time, but hopefully this year will see real progress against COVID-19. Meanwhile, we will carry on and do the best we can.
One of the newest clubs in our community is the Bear Valley Springs Astronomy Club. If you are enchanted by the heavenly constellations, this club may be for you. They meet on the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. They have numerous meetings, star parties, and public events throughout the year. Contact Claude Plymate at [email protected].
The BVSA is looking for trail committee workers. Tasks include raking, pruning, weed-whacking, shoveling, or just hiking to report on the trails. The trails need to be groomed to make them safer for hikers and horses, especially from rattlesnakes when that season arises.
If you are interested in helping, contact [email protected]. A release of liability form will need to be signed. Bring a copy of your current homeowners declaration of insurance to the BVSA office.
The new patio at the Mulligan Room is looking good. Hopefully it will be ready for use by the spring time. The patio is to be named after our late, great, long-time director on the Association Board, Todd Lander. He was instrumental in getting this patio renovation on the road, and come spring when it is completed, there will be an opening ceremony and ribbon cutting. Be sure to watch E-Buzz or other media to know when it will take place. It will be called the Todd Lander Pavilion.
Bear Valley Springs is a private gated community in which the residents pay an annual association amenities fee. To visit, a non-member or non-resident must arrange with a friend or family member in the community for a guest pass that would permit them to engage in the activities. Guest passes will be checked.
