Tehachapi's Online Community News & Entertainment Guide
The Tehachapi Heritage League in conjunction with the Tehachapi Museum and Trispect Films will be filming a short documentary about the historic 1952 Tehachapi Earthquake. The film will debut in a future exhibit at the museum to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the event.
Production company Trispect Films, which has offices in Los Angeles and here in Tehachapi, would like to invite those who experienced the earthquake firsthand to tell us your stories. We will be selecting a few people to be interviewed on-camera as part of this documentary project. If you have a compelling and interesting story that involves your own experiences during the earthquake please contact Trispect Films at [email protected]. Please put "Tehachapi Earthquake Project" in subject line and also include your phone number and short story in your email. We'll contact you if we'd like to include your story and/or on-camera interview in the upcoming film.
We are also reaching out to the public to volunteer to portray citizens of Tehachapi in 1952 in the dramatic recreations that we will be filming. Production will take place in and around Tehachapi in early to mid-April. We need all types to help us in this project. If interested in playing your part of history, please send your photo to [email protected] attn: "TEP casting" in subject line.
We are seeking a few vehicles (circa 1948-52) to feature in the film as well. Send photos.
We will also be casting a few professional actors, so if you are a performer please send your resume/headshots/links to reels to [email protected] attn: "TEP principal performer." Auditions will be held in Tehachapi in mid- to late March.
