Tehachapi Arts Center
Children's Art Class every Wednesday. With Summer over (at least for students), our class hours have returned to 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. We can offer a private class for birthdays or your group of friends. To make arrangements, call the center and ask for Grayson.
Aspiring Musicians
Our Jam Sessions have become popular. The next one is Tuesday, Aug. 23. Set up is 5-5:30 p.m. We play for two or three hours. We are looking for beginning/intermediate musicians who would like to learn to play with others. You should have the ability to play a few songs, but you don't have to be very good. And please bring a song or two that we can all play together. We have a few instruments you can use or bring your own.
Call Mark at the center for more details (661) 822-6794.
Open Studio
We would like to remind everyone that the Center has Open Studio time Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sew your quilt, paint a picture, sculpt or just socialize. Groups welcome. Call for your own time slot.
Alari Design
Our Jewelry Store has been the busiest department in the shop. Replacing watch batteries, re-sizing rings, repairing all types of jewelry and creating new one-of-a-kind pieces of art. All accomplished right here on the premises. Mike's jeweler hours are noon to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday or by appointment. Call or text (661) 805-0849 for more information.
Looking for teachers
Tehachapi Arts Center is looking for people to teach art classes. Share what you love with others and make a few dollars.
The Tehachapi Arts Center is a cooperative, continuing the heritage of Mel White's Treasure Trove providing a venue for local artisans to gather, learn, teach and, of course, display and sell their art. We are located at 116 E. Tehachapi Blvd. (across the street from the water tower). Open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., call (661) 822-6794.
