Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
The Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce continues to reinforce its commitment to helping the area’s business community, create connections and strengthen relationships at its 26th annual Hispanic Business Conference & Expo.
The Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (KCHCC) is excited to announce the return of its annual Hispanic Business Conference & Expo. The popular event was put on hold in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID pandemic. However, this year, KCHCC has moved forward to hold the 26th annual Hispanic Business Expo on Wednesday, Aug. 24, from 1 to 7 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel at 3100 Camino Del Rio Court in Bakersfield. The public is invited to attend. Admission is free!
“We have sincerely missed holding the Hispanic Business Conference & Expo, and we know that many of our members have missed it, too,” said Jay Tamsi, president/CEO of the Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “So you can imagine how excited we are to finally bring it back after a two-year hiatus. We are planning for a captivating professional networking experience.”
From 1 to 4 p.m., the Hispanic Business Conference & Expo will hold a series of English and Spanish workshops organized by AltaOne Federal Credit Union. Topics include “Marketing Basics,” “Business Loans: A Tool for Your Success” and “Get Smart with your Taxes.” The public has the choice to attend a Spanish-speaking session or English-speaking session. Tamsi said these workshops are great for small businesses, entrepreneurs and business professionals. The Spanish-language option is an added feature to the event this year.
Once the workshops have concluded at 4 p.m., the doors of the Expo will open where several area owned/directed businesses will showcase their services, products and their passion to the attendees. The community, career professionals and business owners will all have the opportunity to connect and engage with each other, which KCHCC hopes will create a life-long impact on each attendee.
The event will also showcase a VIP Beauty Bar featuring Beautiful You Medical Aesthetics and Milan Institute. This element has been wildly popular in the past. Appetizers and refreshments will also be served.
“Our goal is to connect business owners and career professionals with the public and, especially, our membership,” Tamsi said. “Developing strong connections through networking is a key factor to local business success.”
This popular attraction is expected to draw several hundred attendees. Admission is free with a special ticket available for download at kchcc.org/expo.
Tamsi said the Hispanic Business Conference & Expo will arrive at a time that the DoubleTree Hotel has undergone a new look so many will be able to catch a glimpse of the upgrades and improvements.
The Kern County Business Conference and Expo’s premiere sponsor is AltaOne Federal Credit Union.
A limited number of sponsorships and booths are still available. For Expo questions or media inquiries, please contact (661) 231-5623.
