The Ridgecrest Chamber Music Society is fortunate to be able to host the Neave Piano Trio for its first concert of 2023 on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 4 p.m.
The Ridgecrest Chamber Music Society is happy to share the exciting news that this year Neave has been nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance category.
The Neave Piano Trio will offer a lively and diverse program featuring Four Folk Songs by Gabriela Lena Frank, Five Melodies for Piano Trio, Op. 59 No.1 by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Piano Trio on Irish Folk Songs by Frank Martin and the Piano Trio in G minor, Op. 15 by Smetana.
Those familiar with Neave will agree that this group which has performed at many esteemed concert series and festivals worldwide brings a beautiful spirit and impressive virtuosity making the concert experience both enjoyable as well as memorable. They play with passion and conviction which results in an engaging and cutting-edge performance.
An additional new element added this year to the concert experience will be a short program offered by local music students of the valley as an adjunct to the featured offering by The Neave Piano Trio.
The Ridgecrest Chamber Music Society is fortunate to bring musicians and programs of this caliber to the Ridgecrest community and is particularly grateful to the artists who, as before, will present shortened education programs to the local student population at no cost to the students.
This wonderful musical experience will be presented at the Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church, 633 Los Flores Avenue in Ridgecrest
As we look forward to again welcoming The Neave Piano Trio, the Ridgecrest Chamber Music Society wishes to extend it thanks to the many dedicated patrons who continue to support the mission of bringing beautiful and inspiring music to the Ridgecrest area as well as supporting music education to the students of this community.
