'Yesterday's memories…today's treasures' – Bakersfield's 51st Annual Antique Show

The Glass and China Collectors of Bakersfield invite all antique lovers and collectors to share in this very special 51st annual “Collectors Showcase” of outstanding antiques and collectibles. This is the 51st year of proudly presenting this event with something to delight the interests of all collectors. This year’s theme of reminding collectors that, “Yesterday’s memories...have become today’s treasures,” is especially timely. This showcase will highlight the joys of bygone days that are so uniquely American. Dealers from throughout the Valley and California will be bringing a vast array of items including antique kitchen and cooking items, furniture, quilts and linens, glassware, tools, lamps and lanterns, crockery, dolls, toys, china, vintage sports collectibles, silver, estate jewelry and so much more.

A special foyer display spotlighting this year’s theme will greet show attendees, previewing what they will find in the large rooms of knowledgeable dealers, ready to meet eager collectors.

This 51st Annual Showcase will be held in Bakersfield on March 11 and 12 in Hodel’s Kern Rooms located at 5917 Knudsen Dr., Bakersfield from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The admission of $6 includes unlimited return privileges, as well as free parking. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Free door prizes of baskets filled with vintage collectibles will be happily given to lucky winners.

This event is family-friendly and the Hodel’s restaurant is an added bonus, with their early breakfast to evening dining buffet serving up “all you can eat” down-home country dishes in a relaxed atmosphere to compliment the Showcase.
