What's Up in Stallion Springs?

Happy Easter! Stallion Springs Parks and Recreation and Stallion Springs Church will be holding a Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8 at the Stallion Springs Community Center. The hunt will begin at 10 a.m. Parks and Rec are looking for candy and egg donations. They can be dropped off at the CSD, located at 27800 Stallion Springs Dr. or at Stallion Springs Church at 18151 St. Andrews.

Parks and Rec is also looking for a sponsor for Movies in the Park. If you would like to be a sponsor, message Nicole at (661)-823-7883 or donate at tithe.ly/give_new/www/ and make sure you put "movie night" in the pull down bar.

Fishing reminder

There is a fine for fishing without a permit. 48-hour permits are available at the Stallion Springs General Store or the CSD for $10. Yearly permits are available only at the District Office. Remember there is no fishing from the bridge or on or near the dam.

Stallion Springs Community Emergency Response Team

Anyone interested in joining SSCERT or just learning to be better prepared for an emergency or disaster is invited to attend their monthly meetings held on the first Wednesday of the month at the SSCSD located at 27800 Stallion Springs Dr. The next meeting should be April 5 at 6:30 p.m. To confirm that date call (661) 412-2378. SSCERT offers a course covering basic disaster response skills, It is free and will certify participants to be part of SSCERT or for personal preparedness. Ask for future course dates.
