Janet Anne Roper December 3, 1944 – May 18, 2023

Janet Anne Roper, 78, took her final breath on May 18. She was born on Dec. 3, 1944, to Carl Leonard Ogin and Anne Elizabeth (Pointek) Ogin in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Janet was a resident of Tehachapi, and lived in Kern County for 25 years. She worked for the Government as an Administrative Assistant for 13 years.

Janet was well known and loved by all who were graced by her presence. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Martin Roper; and son, William T. Adair; she is also preceded by her sister, Lois, and husband, Charlie Gunter. She is survived by her sons, William D., and Silvia Carter; and Jason Carter; daughter-in-law (William T.), Alina Adair and granddaughter, Ashlan Alexander. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dakota, Rudy, and Cassidy Carter; Simon, Terrence, and Celeste Carter; Scarlett, and Logan Adair.

A Rosary in Janet's honor was held at St. Malachy Catholic Church, 407 W. E St., in Tehachapi on June 7, with Mass following.
