Celebration of Life

With deep sadness the family announces the passing of Mona Mollring, she was 87. Mona was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts and lived there till she was 16. Her mother, Rosena and brother, Hank Barkley moved west to California, where she settled for the rest of her life. She was a career woman for 30 years, working hard and raising her five children, as well. Everyone who knew Mona liked her, she was such a friendly woman and had many lifelong friends.

She lived a fulfilled and blessed life with her husband, Bob Mollring, who built their family home in the mountains in Bear Valley Springs, for the retirement years. They enjoyed traveling, and joined a camping group for seniors, where they made many news friends, while exploring new places. Playing cards, reading, enjoying their beautiful animals and large family, they lived a full life in the mountains, close to the Mojave Desert.

Mona was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mollring; eldest daughter, Lori Kanteman Brandon; and her mother and father, Rosena, and Herbert Barkley. She is survived by daughter, Teri Bissonette (Randy); sons, David Kanteman, and Todd Kanteman (Robin); and daughter, Kimberly Mollring. She is also survived by her brother, Hank Barkley(Rosemary); nine grandchildren: Granddaughters, Rochelle Rumney, Melissa Rumney, and Tatiana Delvis; Grandsons, Kenny Kanteman, Jaron Brandon, Trevor Kanteman, David Kanteman, Tanner Kanteman, John Bissonette and Adam Bissonette. Mona was overjoyed when she became a great-grandma to Kyan Novak, Annie Novak, Catherine Delvis, Wyatt Delvis, Felix Eckart-Rumney, Charlotte Kanteman, Maeve Sheffield Dax Bissonette, Kenzley Bissonette and Beau Bissonette.

The family held a private celebration of life on Mother's Day to honor a WONDERFUL and LOVING MOTHER, who will be missed deeply by her family. We will LOVE you FOREVER, MOM and will cherish our MEMORIES of you!
