Arlene Weed was born on Aug. 30, 1932, and passed on June 9 at 90 years old.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Weed and is survived by her two children, Michelle Taylor of Tehachapi, and Gary Weed of St. Louis, Missouri, as well as two grandchildren, Kate Weed and Kelly Weed of St. Louis, Missouri and great-granddaughter, Avery.
Arlene was an accomplished woman. She was a graduate of Cal State University, Northridge. She retired from a career with "General Telephone" and relocated with her husband from Camarillo to Bear Valley Springs about 25 years ago.
She was active in many clubs and organizations, most notable was her 50 years as a member and officer of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. In her later years, she enjoyed playing cards with her friends.
Arlene will be cremated and her ashes laid to rest next to her husband in the Bakersfield National Cemetery. No services are planned.
