Rare passenger train goes through Tehachapi

Tehachapi area residents got a quick glance of a passenger train last week as the new Union Pacific CEO Jim Vena was touring the line. Vena took over the position on Aug. 14. The photo was shot by Reuben Cortez, a Depot volunteer, near Caliente Creek between Bena and Ilmon.
