There are a lot of fun fall happenings in Tehachapi. The Downtown Trunk or Treat and the Mountain Bible pumpkin patch are not happening this year, but there are plenty of other fun things to do. Have fun and stay safe. Tehachapi Terror Halloween haunted house, Oct. 20-30, 6 to 9 p.m.
Running October 20, 21, 22, and 28, 29, 30, from 6 to 9 p.m. each night. The line can get lengthy, so early arrival is encouraged. Located at 16966 E. Tehachapi Blvd. (southeast corner of Dennison Road).
T-POPS Spooktacular Concert, Oct. 28, 2-4 p.m.
Spooky music, creepy effects and family fun. The Halloween Concert will feature the premier of "A Bull in Chinatown" Radio Play. The Tehachapi Pops Orchestra will be under the direction of Robby Martinez. Join the fun at the new ADHC building, 123 W. F St., on Oct. 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. (doors open at 1:30 p.m.). Bear Valley Springs Halloween Carnival, Oct. 28, 5-8 p.m.
The annual BVS Halloween Carnival is from 5 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 28 at the Whiting Center, 26940 Bear Valley Rd., Bear Valley Springs. There will be music, food, drinks and costume contest. Bear Valley Springs is a private gated community. To visit, a non-member or non-resident must arrange with a friend or family member in the community for a guest pass that would permit them to engage in the activities. Guest passes will be checked.
Cisneros Family Farms Harvest Fest, Oct. 28, 1-5 p.m.
Join Cisneros Family Farms, 18259 Alps St., Tehachapi, on Oct. 28 from 1 to 5 p.m. for a Harvest Fest. There will be a pumpkin patch, games, petting zoo, live music, face painting, hayride, street tacos avaiable for purchase. $5 per person ages 4 and up, with max $20 charge per family. Fee does not include pumpkins or food. Bring camping chairs.
Library's Halloween Bash, Oct. 31, 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Where: Tehachapi Branch Library, 212 S. Green St.
Pumpkin Patch
Brite Creek Farm
The pumpkin patch is open every Saturday in October. Celebrate fall at the farm with the pumpkin patch, hay ride, pumpkin painting, face painting, treats and more. Brike Creek Farm is located at 20101 Banducci Rd., Tehachapi and is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Dries Farm
Pumpkins have arrived. They are not available for "you pick" but Dries has a "creepy crawl" scavenger hunt with a prize for the kids. Apple picking is available. Open daily, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., 22455 Loumas Ln., Tehachapi.
Trunk or Treat
AltaOne Trunk or Treat, Oct. 27, 6-8 p.m.
Where: AltaOne's Trunk or Treat in their parking lot at 775 Tucker Rd., Tehachapi.
Ghoulden Hills Trick or Treat, Oct. 28, 4-7 p.m.
Where: Golden Hills CSD parking lot, 21415 Reeves St.
5150 Dieselz Truck-or-Treat, Oct. 31, 4:30-8:30 p.m.
Where: Mobile event - 3 locations, starting at P-Dubs in Stallion Springs from 4:30 to 5 p.m., KMart parking lot from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and Meadowbrook Park from 7:45 to 8:30 p.m.
Stallion Springs Trunk or Treat, Oct. 31, 5:30-8 p.m.
Where: The Stallion Springs Community Center, 27850 Stallion Springs Dr., Tehachapi. Candy, games, costume contest, food, cake walk, haunted hallway, car decoration contest.
Downtown Tehachapi Treat Trail, Oct. 31, 4-7 p.m.
Organized by Go2Girlz and Funky Junk. Dress up and visit participating Downtown Tehachapi businesses on Oct. 31 from 4 to 7 p.m. There will be candy and Halloween specials. Candy donations are appreciated and can be dropped off at Funky Junk by Go2Girlz, Go2Girlz Antique Boutique, Auntie Em's Antiques, Sheridan's, and Kelcy's. At the time of publication over 10 businesses have signed up with more expected. Look for details in the Oct. 28 issue of The Loop newspaper.
