The City of Tehachapi is hosting another Hometown Christmas planning meeting on Thursday, Nov. 2 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Tehachapi Police Department Community Room. Nov. 2 is also the application and proof of insurance deadline for those wanting to participate in the event.
This meeting will confirm participating vendors and businesses and will share a preliminary map of booths and activities. All applicants are encouraged to attend.
Hometown Christmas aims to help kick off the holiday spirit and will provide activities for visitors in between other Christmas-related events happening around town on Saturday, Dec. 2. The event will be held on S. Green Street and will feature vendors selling holiday-related items, free crafts and activities for kids, and live entertainment. The event will wrap up in time for the annual Christmas Parade set to take place at 5:30 p.m. on F Street; the Christmas Tree lighting will take place at the Tehachapi Depot Museum after the parade.
